Venice Media District @ Silicon Beach
In 2006, Venice was designated as an official, “media district” by the Los Angeles City Council, recognizing this community as one of the world’s most creative hubs for film, television, and technology. For over a century, creative icons, artists, and visionaries have thrived in Venice, and the Venice Media District serves to carry on this tradition.
The Venice Media District focuses on bringing media professionals of all backgrounds together to share ideas, network with others in related fields, and collaborate on projects. Our goal is to brand Silicon Beach on a community level, in the heart of creativity – Venice Beach, California.
The goals for this committee include:
- Creating networking opportunities where business-to-business connections & collaborations are easily made
- Increasing awareness of and participation in the Venice Chamber of Commerce
- Promoting Venice as a destination to attract new businesses & entrepreneurs
- Connecting nonprofits & charities with access to the assets of the Venice Media District
Events include mixers, educational panels, film screenings and collaborations with Venice Art Crawl.
